DIMAPUR — The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov and All India Radio, has announced a series of online contests and activities to commemorate the upcoming Independence Day ceremony.

According to a DIPR report, as part of the campaign titled “Independence Day 2025”, participants across the country can engage in contests now live on the MyGov portal, including an essay competition on the topic “Operation Sindoor – Redefining India’s Policy Against Terrorism”, a painting competition on the theme “New India – Empowered India”, and a reel competition titled “Walk to the Monument Sites of Indian Independence”.

The top 30 winners from the contests, organised by central ministries and departments on the MyGov portal, will be invited by the Ministry of Defence to attend the official Independence Day ceremony.

The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region forwarded the official communication to the chief secretaries of northeastern states, urging all departments to promote the campaign among their employees and the general public.
