Speaking to media persons during the tour, Western Angami NPF urban sector spokesperson Zaseta Theyo and Western Angami NPF rural sector spokesperson Nichasatou Angami claimed that the minister has brought more development in the last three years of her tenure than previous leaders had brought in the past 30 years.
They described her as the “champion of development” in the constituency.
They said the PMGSY road is the lifeline route for western Angami villages. They also reiterated that the western Angami region is among the least developed regions, possibly due to the lack of capable and visionary leaders in the past, but added that there is now “rapid development” under various projects undertaken during her tenure.
