Minister P Bashangmongba Chang inspects landslide-damaged areas near National Highway 202 in Tuensang and flags off a Har Ghar Tiranga bike rally.
DIMAPUR — Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering P Bashangmongba Chang visited landslide-affected areas on National Highway 202 near the IOC Petrol Pump, Tuensang, on Wednesday.
According to a DIPR report, during his visit, the minister expressed his appreciation to the District Disaster Management Authority of Tuensang for their timely intervention and evacuation of affected families, which prevented the loss of life in the district.
Describing the landslide as an unfortunate incident, he conveyed his sympathy to the affected families.
The minister was accompanied by officials from the district administration, the District Disaster Management Authority of Tuensang, heads of departments from line departments, and party workers.
Earlier in the morning, the Minister flagged off the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' bike rally from the Parade Ground in Tuensang.
