Kiphire District Legal Services Authority held a mini legal services camp in Pungro with 291 beneficiaries.

DIMAPUR — A mini legal services camp organised by the Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA), in collaboration with the district administration and 30th Battalion Assam Rifles, was conducted at the ADC’s office, Pungro town, on May 8.
According to a DIPR report, the camp was led by panel lawyer Limkhushi Thongliu and inaugurated by Hotolu Sema, ADC Pungro, and Holika Sukhalu, chief judicial magistrate-cum-secretary, Kiphire District Legal Services Authority.
The purpose of the camp was to provide necessary basic and legal services to citizens under Pungro subdivision in Kiphire district.
Departments that participated in the camp included the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, 30th Battalion Assam Rifles, Department of Labour, Community Health Centre, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Post, Department of Agriculture, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), and Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA).

Services provided included free Aadhaar correction and enrolment, free health check-up and medicines by the 30th Battalion Assam Rifles, anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and free medicine for animals, free distribution of farming seeds, free affidavits including name correction and declarations, distribution of pamphlets, free distribution of Ayushman cards, and SHG pickle processing.
The beneficiaries included citizens from Pungro town and nearby villages. Altogether, 291 beneficiaries participated in the camp.
“The core aim of the camp is to identify and notify the beneficiaries particularly from rural and undeserved areas to ensure maximum public participation. The programme realised the synergy between legal services and district administration in delivering medical services to the doorsteps,” the report stated.
