Around 350 beneficiaries availed healthcare services at the free multi-speciality health camp held at PHC Tizit in Mon.

DIMAPUR — A free multi-speciality health camp was held at PHC Tizit, Mon, on May 8, under the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission Health Grants, as part of efforts to bridge gaps in urban healthcare services.
According to a DIPR report, the programme was organised by the Tizit Town Council (TTC) in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Mon, officials and staff of PHC Tizit, and other stakeholders.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and administrator, Tizit Town Council, C Phuniang, in his address, said efforts would be made to organise the health camp as a monthly exercise, especially during the peak monsoon season in Tizit town. He appealed to all stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation.

Specialist OPD services, including medicine, paediatrics consultation, gynaecology, dental care, ultrasound, and other healthcare services, were provided during the polyclinic health camp.
PMJAY/CMHIS enrolment, blood testing, and health awareness counselling services were also extended to the beneficiaries.
Around 350 beneficiaries from in and around Tizit town availed the services during the camp.
The medical team was led by Dr. Wungyoung, DIO Mon, and comprised six junior specialists, two medical officers, a sonologist, a dental surgeon, and a pharmacist.
Earlier, the programme commenced with an invocation prayer by Rev. Wennyie Konyak, pastor, Tizit Town Baptist Church.
