• DIMAPUR — Government Primary School (GPS) Industrial Village organised a menstrual hygiene and health awareness programme on May 15 in collaboration with Boditive India, a sanitary pad manufacturer in Nagaland that uses cotton and bamboo charcoal.

• According to an update, Vihoti from Boditive India shared information on menstrual health, how to maintain cleanliness, and the proper use of sanitary pads during the awareness programme.

• She sensitised all parents and noted that menstrual hygiene is very important for all females, especially children who are not yet aware of menstruation.

• Keren spoke about the importance of maintaining good health, a proper diet, and body care and the necessity of using sanitary pads.

• The school children were sensitised on how to prepare themselves ahead of menstruation. Menstruation is nothing to hide or be shy about. She strongly encouraged them to share this with parents, guardians, friends, and teachers.
