KIPHIRE — A massive landslide triggered by continuous heavy rainfall struck the Officers' Compound Road in Forest ward, Kiphire town, damaging the road and threatening nearby houses.
The landslide has raised alarm among residents, who said the unstable slope poses a serious risk to lives and property in the area.
Appealing for urgent intervention, residents urged the concerned department to take immediate preventive measures to stabilise the affected stretch and prevent further damage.
They warned that delays could lead to additional house collapses and possible loss of life.
