Peren district announces mandatory departmental mass social work and tree plantation drive on June 26.
DIMAPUR — The District Planning Officer of Peren, Danyi Domeh, has informed that a district departmental mass social work will be conducted on June 26 from 8 am onwards.
According to a press release, all officers and staff of the district headquarters departments are required to carry out social work assignments in their respective allotted areas, prioritising roadside grass cutting, clearing, and the maintenance of previously planted trees along the roadside.
The social work will begin from the DC’s office to the Government Accommodation House, which forms part of the main district headquarters' circular road.
All departments have been directed to clean their respective offices and compounds. Participation is mandatory for all government officers and staff at the district headquarters as well as in all sub-divisions.

Domeh stated that many officers and staff have already initiated tree plantation activities in and around office compounds and residential areas. A group of villagers also participated in roadside tree plantation on June 5.
For the upcoming mass social work and tree plantation drive, tree saplings will be provided by the Divisional Forest Officer of Peren Chisayi Vadeo. Interested departments and individuals may collect the saplings from his office at Jalukie.
Domeh informed that strict attendance monitoring will be carried out by the DC's office staff during the mass social work, and all departments have been directed to ensure full participation and cooperation.
