Manipur police recover seven stolen vehicles

Manipur police control room stated that tinted glasses were removed from 139 numbers of vehicles by Manipur police in the vehicles drive.

  • IMPHAL — Manipur police recovered seven vehicles in a special drive conducted for recovery of stolen/ snatched vehicles from anti-social elements/ miscreants.

  • A press release issued by Manipur police control room stated that tinted glasses were removed from 139 numbers of vehicles by Manipur police in the vehicles drive.

  • The statement added that search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts.

  • During the operation, security forces recovered 8 nos. of IED, 8 nos. of local made hand grenade, 25 nos. of electric detonator, 8 nos. Of detonator, 40 rounds of 5.56 mm INSAS ammunition, 60 rounds of 7.62 mm AK ammunition and 1 Motorola set with charger in general area of Saivom village under Tengnoupal Police Station in Tengnoupal district.

  • Besides, security forces destroyed 3 bunkers during the operation.

  • In another post on X, the Manipur police said, “On 30.04.2025, Manipur Police arrested one Sinthangamba Konsham Mangang (25) of Heirok Part III, Kabo Leikai, Thoubal district. He is a serial offender and has involvement in multiple cases of mob related incidents across Manipur including attack of SP Thoubal office, DC Thoubal office, a case in Singjamei-PS, Imphal West and mob incident in Keishampat, Imphal West.”
