Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Friday reviewed the progress of the ongoing
Indo-Myanmar border fencing in Manipur, including issues pertaining to the
execution of the fencing work.
- During the meeting held at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, officials of
BRTF briefed the governor on the progress and highlighted matters related to land
acquisition, approach roads, fencing, security, manpower, etc.
- Chief Secretary PK Singh, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh,
DGP Rajiv Singh, PCCF Anurag Bajpai, Principal Secretary (Agriculture),
Commissioner (Home) N Ashokumar, Secretary to Governor, and officials from
Assam Rifles attended the meeting, among others.

- The Deputy Commissioners of five border districts also
attended the review meeting via video conference. It may be mentioned that the
border fencing work had been ongoing in Moreh area since the past few years.
