Manipur gears up for Shirui Lily Festival

  • IMPHAL — Manipur Governor, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Thursday chaired the 2nd organising committee meeting of Shirui Lily Festival 2025 held at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal.

  • The meeting extensively covered key agendas to ensure seamless execution of the festival, addressing aspects such as budget allocation, event scheduling, security measures, transportation, crowd management, infrastructure development, accommodation arrangements, cultural programming, promotional strategies and interdepartmental coordination.

  • The chief secretary of Manipur PK Singh; DGP Rajiv Singh, commissioners, secretaries, secretary to governor, DCs and SPs of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, representatives of the festival’s organising committee attended the meeting.

  • The governor also attended the World Red Cross Day programme held in Imphal.

  • In the closing function of the month-long observation, organised by Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, held at its office at MG Avenue, the governor paid tribute to the founder of Red Cross- Henry Dunant.
