Nagaland's Mairidin Newmai secures a unanimous decision victory over Tribhuvan Issar at the Immortal Fighting Championship in Bengaluru.

DIMAPUR — Mairidin Newmai, representing The Combat Academy Nagaland and Kaizen MMA, secured a victory by unanimous decision at the Immortal Fighting Championship held at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru on April 18.
According to an update, competing in the bantamweight division, Newmai entered the bout with a professional record of four wins and one loss.

He faced Tribhuvan Issar, a grappling specialist from Dehradun holding a record of three wins, three losses, and one draw.
Newmai secured the win via unanimous decision after three rounds. Following the fight, in a show of respect, Newmai offered his traditional Zeliang Naga shawl to Issar.
Newmai, who trained at both The Combat Academy Nagaland and Kaizen MMA in Bengaluru, is currently under contract with Matrix Fight Night.
