DG Assam Rifles Vikas Lakhera visited the Capt. N Kenguruse MVC Centre of Excellence and Wellness, motivating NEET and JEE aspirants at the NIEDO Centre.


DIMAPUR — The Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR), Lt. Gen. Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, visited the Capt. N Kenguruse, MVC Centre of Excellence and Wellness at the NIEDO Centre, Chieswema, Kohima, on November 21.


During the visit, he interacted with National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants undergoing coaching under the Assam Rifles–National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) initiative. Lt. Gen. Lakhera motivated the students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their preparation, according to an update.


He reviewed their academic progress, study routines, and readiness for upcoming competitive examinations, and also inspected the living conditions, hostel arrangements, classrooms, and academic infrastructure at the centre.

The director general appreciated the supportive ecosystem created for the aspirants and highlighted the importance of quality education, mentorship, and holistic development in empowering youth in the Northeast.


The NIEDO faculty and mentorship team briefed him on the academic modules, counselling framework, and wellness routines aimed at strengthening conceptual clarity, confidence, and resilience among students.


The aspirants expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided through the Assam Rifles–NIEDO partnership. The visit concluded with encouraging words from Lt. Gen. Lakhera, who reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment to nurturing youth potential and fostering academic excellence across the region.
