Longleng District Advisory Committee outlines action points for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027.
DIMAPUR — The District Advisory Committee of MY Bharat, Longleng, held a coordination meeting at the DPDB Hall in Longleng on September 9 under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Longleng Thungchanbemo Tungoe.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the district administration, the Education department, officials of Yingli College, higher secondary schools, National Service Scheme programme officers, and MY Bharat District Youth Officer Kishore Dulam.
Highlighting the importance of empowering local youth, Tungoe stressed the need to strengthen grassroots youth engagement and maximise youth participation in state- and national-level developmental initiatives.
Dulam briefed the house on the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, outlining the multi-stage talent search that opens direct pathways for youth from Longleng to represent Nagaland at the National Youth Festival in New Delhi on January 12, 2027.
To ensure widespread participation and youth development across Longleng district, the meeting finalised key action points.
Under the entry gateway and quiz specifics, a 600-second, 20-question online quiz will serve as the mandatory Stage-I entry point. The official MY Bharat portal (mybharat.gov.in) and mobile application remain the exclusive digital platform for youth aged 15 to 29 to register and participate.
Regarding selection progression, high-scoring youth clearing the Stage-I online quiz will progress through essay submissions in Stage-II, followed by district and state presentations before domain experts in Stage-III and Stage-IV, leading to final policy presentations directly to the Prime Minister during the National Youth Festival.
For institutional mobilisation, student helpdesks will be established across institutions, including Yingli College and local higher secondary schools, to assist students with profile creation, registration, and accessing verified career roadmaps.
The digital career ecosystem will promote digital tools from MY Bharat, including the automatic curriculum vitae builder, domain mentorship, direct linkages to the Prime Minister Internship Scheme, and 60-hour experiential learning programmes with government departments to bridge academic knowledge with practical operations.
The committee also resolved to run authentic information drives, disseminating verified information regarding registration, internship schemes, and selection processes exclusively through official, authenticated channels to prevent misinformation.
The District Advisory Committee requested all educational institutions, National Service Scheme units, local youth bodies, and district youth clubs across Longleng to execute awareness drives and classroom campaigns. The administration called for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to secure maximum youth mobilisation from Longleng district through to the national stage on January 12, 2027.
