- DIMAPUR — The
Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on
March 7 at the DPDB conference hall in Longleng, under the chairmanship of
Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of the DPDB Longleng, W Manpai Phom.
- According to a DIPR report, the chairman stated that various
government office and institutional buildings, such as those for Rural
Development, Polytechnic, and ITI, have been completed in the district.
However, these buildings have remained unoccupied since completion and are
deteriorating over the years.
- He therefore urged the concerned officers in charge to take
a keen interest in making the buildings functional and useful. He also
instructed the house to identify any shortfalls in provisions, manpower, and
infrastructure in the district offices so that the district administration
could bring the matter to the government's attention.
- SDO (C) Meyazungba Jamir provided an update on the
Inter-Departmental Tournament, which is scheduled for April, while the ADC
Tamlu, T Lankensen Tsanglao, informed the house about notifying the officers of
Tamlu Sub-Division regarding the implementation of various projects and
activities, enabling them to coordinate and provide logistical support to the
departments.
- He also requested that Tamlu Sub-Division be included in the
expansion of any activities and programmes.
- The DC informed that the district has been performing
exceptionally well in many departmental activities. Encouraging the HoDs to
maintain their efforts, he assured them of continued coordination and
cooperation in all activities.
- Referring to various committee meetings, the DC emphasised
that representatives should not be sent in place of HoDs. He appreciated the
presence of many HoDs at the meeting and further encouraged their participation
in the upcoming DPDB meetings and other official programmes.
