DIMAPUR — The 66th sports and literary meet of
Longjang Village Students' Conference (LKTM) was held at local ground Longjang,
Mokokchung district, from December 27 to the 30th, with Advisor for Law and Justice
and Land Revenue, TN Mannen as the special invitee.
In his address, the advisor acknowledged the importance
shown by the stake holders of Longjang village, especially the church,
students' union and village council in improving the quality of education in
the village, an update stated.
Mannen encouraged the students to develop their talents
mentally and physically while maintaining the spirit of positive competition.
He also asked them to participate in the students’ meet seriously.
Highlights of the inaugural programme included invocation by
Senti Longchar, pastor LBA; welcome address by Moarenba Longkumer, president of
Longjang Students' Union, and words of encouragement by Imtinungsang Longchar,
Longjang Village Council.
Various presentations were also made during the cultural and
literary competition where Longjang Students' Union, Mokokchung, was crowned
the overall champion and Longjang Students Union, Dimapur, adjudged the
runner-up of the 66th sports and literary meet.
