DIMAPUR — The newly formed Lions Club of Dimapur Elite (LCDE) under the Lions International officially begun its journey of service with two meaningful projects aimed at community welfare.
The first initiative, an umbrella distribution drive, provided Lions-branded umbrellas to the underprivileged, offering comfort against harsh weather. The project was led by Mridula Agarwal and Maya Jain.
The second project marked Doctor’s Day by honouring one of the town's healthcare heroes with a small token of appreciation. It was spearheaded by Kajal Jain and Punam Jain.

The first vice district governor, Neena Dutta; GST coordinator, Neeta Agarwal; and region chairperson, Sumita Sharma, attended the events.
The club is led by charter president, Meena Sethi; charter secretary, Prernaa Maheswarri, and charter treasurer, Sakchi Jain.
With a vision of service and unity, the club aspires to make a positive impact in the community.
In another programme, Lions Club of Dimapur under the leadership of its new president, Sanjay Jaiswal, undertook a tree plantation drive at the club premises and also installed welcome board at Dillai-Nagaland gate.
The club secretary, Sumit Jain, stated that the welcome board could be seen by all passersby and vehicles entering Nagaland.
Besides, the club celebrated ‘National Doctor's Day’ and ‘National Charter Accountants Day’ by felicitating various doctors and charter accountants of the town in their respective offices. The felicitation programme was led by Jinender Jain.
