- DIMAPUR — The
Linguistic Minority Forum (LMFN) of Nagaland held its third annual general
meeting (AGM) on June 4 at the Hotel Jalmahal conference hall in Dimapur.
- According to an update, speaking on the occasion, Bishnu
Bhattacharjee, chairman of LMFN, emphasised protecting the constitutional
rights of minorities and appealed to all members to work unitedly for progress
and development with knowledge, skills, and wisdom. He stressed peaceful
coexistence, unity in diversity, and harmony.

- The meeting resolved to form a governing body, advisory
board, and working committee at the district level, focusing on minority
welfare and development projects. The house also resolved to work in the fields
of education and health with limited available resources.
- LMFN reaffirmed its commitment to addressing grassroots
issues with the government and pledged to work with dedication towards the
development, peace, and welfare of linguistic minority community members.

- Delegates from various districts, including Kohima,
Chümoukedima, and Dimapur, participated in the meeting.
- The secretary, Arijit Sharma, submitted the annual report,
which was accepted by the house with appreciation. Others who participated in
the key agenda discussions include Pawan Ladha, Maniram Ale, Devendra Rana,
Jiten Gogoi, Pankaj, Arun Nandi, Sahiruddin Ahmed, Bhuwansing Rai, and M
Chetia.
