DIMAPUR — Power supply to Kohima, Tseminyu, and Wokha districts was disrupted on Tuesday afternoon following the collapse of a 132kV transmission tower at Longsa village in Wokha.
An update from the Executive Engineer (EE) of the Kohima Transmission Division, informed that the tower, part of the 132kV Wokha–Chiephobozou Transmission Line, collapsed due to dumping of earth filling on its structure. The line forms a critical link for evacuating power from the Doyang Hydro Electric Project (HEP) and is an essential element of the state power grid.
