KATK holds its 6th triennial session in Dimapur with Advisor G Ikuto Zhimomi urging unity and collaboration for the area's development.

DIMAPUR — The 6th triennial session of Kulolau Aghünato Tokukujomi Küqhakulu (KATK) was held at Bellizza Isle, Purana Bazar, Dimapur, on Saturday, with Advisor for Land Resources G Ikuto Zhimomi as the special guest.
According to a press note, the special guest, in his address, congratulated the successful candidates from the Aghunato area who have secured officer positions in various fields and departments over the last two years.
He highlighted that the Aghunato area spans from Khumishi to Nihoshe and comprises four key units: Aghunato town area (Aghunato), Aghunato area Zunheboto, Aghunato area Kohima, and Aghunato area Dimapur, which is now called Kulolau Aghunato Area Kuqhakulu (KATK).
Emphasising unity, Zhimomi advised the three units to function as a think-tank, collaborating collectively for the upliftment of the Aghunato area, particularly in preparation for the 75-year jubilee celebrations due in 2027. He urged participants to rise above "isms", irrespective of political parties or religion, fostering harmony and progress.

The advisor also encouraged educated youth to pursue competitive exams, reaffirming his commitment to sponsor interested candidates for coaching under the Local Area Development Project (LADP) scheme.
Earlier, Hukavi T Yepthomi, chairman of KATK, delivered the welcome address wherein he stated that KATK is a union composed of five ranges under Aghünato: Asuto, Sata, Aghünato, Tokiye and Hoshepe. He emphasised unity and cooperation among the people.
Mughato K Kiba, assistant professor at Phek Government College, shared words on behalf of the successful candidates of various competitive exams.
Kiba stated that the felicitating moment in an important event boosts the spirits of aspirants, as it acts as a catalyst which can reinforce positive attitudes and eventually lead to reaching their goals.
Meanwhile, Khushito Awomi and Angukato Awomi were elected as chairman and secretary, respectively, along with other members as the new team of office bearers for the tenure 2026-2028.
