KVK Longleng held a training on Agri-entrepreneurship to guide farmers on income generation and new agricultural technologies.

DIMAPUR — Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Longleng organised a day-long training on Agri-entrepreneurship through Agricultural Extension at KVK Longleng on Tuesday.
According to an update, the programme was coordinated by Dr. Pallabi Phukan, subject matter specialist (Social Sciences), who described the concept and importance of Agri-entrepreneurship.
She highlighted the different objectives, functions, and purposes of Agri-entrepreneurship.

She detailed the scope of different income-generating activities in agriculture and the allied sector, which she stated could help increase farmers' income as well as improve their livelihood. She also interacted with the farmers to understand the constraints they faced in entrepreneurship development.
She explained the various technologies available in KVK Longleng that could be adopted by farmers for enhancing their income.
The training programme was followed by a KVK farm visit.
Around 25 farmers attended the training programme which concluded with the distribution of handouts for better understanding of Agri-entrepreneurship.
