Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dimapur held a dairy farming training in Bade village to educate smallholders on best practices for profitable livestock management.

DIMAPUR — Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dimapur, under ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, organised a three-day off-campus training programme on “Profitable dairy farming: best practices for smallholders” at Bade village under Chümoukedima district from July 16 to the 18th.
An update from KVK Dimapur stated that Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, Chief Technical Officer, was the course coordinator.
Key learning included breed selection and management, feed and nutrition, housing and infrastructure, health and disease management, record keeping, financial planning, etc.

It added that Dr. Ngullie also addressed the problem faced by the farmers in other livestock sectors such as goatery, piggery and poultry during the training programme.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates. A total of 20 farmers attended the training programme.
