DIMAPUR — The director and staff of Kripa Foundation Nagaland (KFN) have condoled the death of the foundation’s secretary and former project director, Dr. Joyce Z Angami.
In a condolence message, the KFN stated that Dr. Joyce had been closely associated with the foundation for many years, serving as medical officer, director, and secretary.
“She was a great mentor to everyone at Kripa Foundation. A wise and dynamic leader, she addressed the challenges of substance use (drugs and alcoholism), HIV, and AIDS with dedication,” it stated.

“She was a competent and efficient administrator—kind-hearted, down-to-earth, and a remarkable woman who inspired us with her humility. She was soft-spoken, pleasant-natured, courageous, open-minded, God-fearing, and a noble soul, always willing to help marginalised groups.”
Describing Dr. Joyce as a refined physician and dedicated social worker throughout her lifetime, the foundation stated that her passing is a huge loss to the people of Nagaland, especially to marginalised communities.
“We will continue to remember her with respect and admiration for her able leadership and invaluable contributions to Kripa Foundation and the state of Nagaland, particularly in the fields of substance use disorder and HIV programmes,” the message read.
