DIMAPUR — The Koridang by-election has drawn seven candidates, with contenders from major political parties and independents in the fray.
According to a DIPR update, the candidates include Daochier I Imchen (BJP), I Abenjang (NPP), T Chalukumba Ao (Congress), and Independent candidates Imchatoba Imchen, Imtiwapang, Major (Retd.) Toshikaba, and Wapangmeren.
As per the election schedule, scrutiny of nominations began on Tuesday, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 26. Polling is scheduled for April 9, with counting of votes on May 4.
