KOHIMA — Members of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) distributed free coffee, tea, and snacks to travellers near the Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC) at Tsiesema Army Camp along National Highway-2 on Saturday.
An update from the Koinonia Media Ministry informed that it was an annual event of the Junior CYE and Youth Department of the church, with the objective of spreading the message of love and joy to commemorate the onset of the festive season.
During the day, KBC members treated travellers with refreshments and shared messages of the Gospel through bookmarks.
Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder and senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, speaking on the sidelines of the event, said that Christmas is all about love—the love that God gave through the birth of Jesus Christ to save humanity.

He urged believers not to celebrate the season with materialistic gratification alone but to thoughtfully reflect on the true purpose of Christmas, where love is spread and the message of salvation—that Jesus Christ came as the Redeemer to liberate people from all bondages and bring breakthroughs—is shared.
The Koinonia Media Ministry stated, “This is part of the annual event of the Koinonia Baptist Church youth, and this act of kindness serves as a reminder that the holiday season is not just about festivities but also about coming together as a community to share warmth and goodwill.”
