Kohima Police organises workshop for women personnel.

DIMAPUR — To mark Mother’s Day celebration, Kohima Police have organised a special workshop on Friday at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) on the theme “Mother is the foundation of a happy family.”
An update from Kohima Police stated that Sister Rupa, director of Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation Centre, Kohima, was the keynote speaker of the workshop. It stated that she highlighted the important role of mothers in creating a peaceful and harmonious family atmosphere.
She explained that when a mother lives under stress, its impact affects the entire family including children and husband. On the other hand, she stated that when a mother remains internally happy and emotionally stable, she spreads positive energy and creates a healthy environment at home.

Sister Rupa further emphasised the importance of self-care, emotional wellbeing and positive thinking for working mothers especially those serving in demanding professions like police service.
During an interactive session, participants were divided into five groups for discussion on important topics related to motherhood and family wellbeing. The discussions focused on ‘Mental self-care practices for a good mother,’ ‘How working mothers can balance professional and personal life,’ and ‘Disciplines and daily habits that help mothers maintain happiness and harmony in the family.’
It stated that the SP has expressed gratitude for organising such a meaningful session for police personnel and shared his previously experience in attending Sister Rupa’s lectures, describing them as motivational and impactful. He also mentioned the importance of conducting more programmes on mental wellbeing for both male and female staff in the future.
At the end of the workshop, value-based badges carrying moral messages were distributed to the participants. It added that the programme concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the importance of emotional well-being, self-awareness and peaceful family relationships.
It further stated that around 60 women police personnel from different units including SP’s office, Women Police Station, North and South Traffic Control and various ranks participated in the workshop.
