DIMAPUR — Kohima Police arrested two individuals in connection with an armed extortion incident at Old NST, Kohima, on Wednesday.
An update from Kohima Police stated that the accused, identified as Thepfungulie Nagi (36) of Jotsoma village, Kohima, and Suitilo Thong Seb (27) of Sendenyu village, Tseminyu, were apprehended following intensive investigations.
The two armed individuals forcibly stole INR 6,000 in cash, one mobile handset, and a gold chain from a public transport driver at Old NST, Kohima.

A criminal case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the law. Investigation continues to determine possible involvement in other crimes.
"Kohima Police is committed to combating street crimes. We urge citizens to report criminal activities promptly – your cooperation is vital to maintaining Kohima's safety," it stated.
