The Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament has been renamed as the G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy from its 12th edition.

DIMAPUR — The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) has resolved to rename the “Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament” as the “G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy” beginning with the 12th edition this year.
With a total prize pool of INR 4,60,000, the event will also feature individual awards, citations and trophies, stated a press release.
In a joint meeting held in Kohima on Monday between the KDVA and the organising committee, it was resolved to conduct the tournament in the last week of October. The KDVA has invited all volleyball enthusiasts, players, and teams to prepare for this year’s tournament.
The organising committee has been constituted with Mhalelhou Mere as convenor, Rukravolie Rulho as co-convenor, Dr. Keneikhoto Yano as secretary, Khriesamhalie Daniel Solo as treasurer, Visasielie Suhu as ex-officio, and Khrietuo Dahou and Vitso Rio as members.
