Kohima Group NCC achieves multiple awards in various categories

DIMAPUR — Kohima Group NCC achieved remarkable success at the North Eastern Region (NER) NCC award ceremony, securing multiple prestigious awards across various categories.
The awards were conferred by the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister of Meghalaya, Wailadmiki Shylla, and ADG of NCC (NER), Maj Gen Anurag Vij, held in Shillong on May 5.
An update from 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC, Dimapur, stated that SUO Nuvekholu Dozo of 1 Nagaland Air Squadron received the Flying Officer Simon Kachari Memorial Award, while SUO Khumcholi Anar of 24 Nagaland Battalion received the best SD Cadet Award and JUO Suyimnaro won the best SW Cadet Award.

It also stated that S/O Hitovi Sumi won the best male ANO Award, while T/O Mongshai Shiu T won the best female ANO Award and St. Xavier Higher Secondary School from Jalukie won the Overall Best School Award.
Additionally, Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung won Overall Best College Award and 1 Nagaland Air Squadron won the Best Air Squadron in NER Award, which was received by Wing Commander, M Herojit Singh, and JWO, Ram Babu Roy.
Meanwhile, the Group Commander, Brigadier Shantanu P Mainkar, has congratulated all the award recipients for their outstanding achievements and commended their dedication, discipline and commitment to excellence. He further encouraged all cadets and staff to continue striving for higher standards and contribute towards nation-building.
