Kohima District Football Association held trials at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, for the 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy; 33 players shortlisted for training.

DIMAPUR — The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) conducted trials for the district football team in preparation for the 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy Inter-District Football Championship.
The trials were held on Monday at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima, from 9 am to 12 pm. Over 50 registered KDFA players participated in the selection process, of whom 33 were shortlisted, according to an update.
The shortlisted players will undergo training, after which the final squad representing Chümoukedima district will be finalised.
The selection committee was led by Roko Angami, senior vice president of KDFA and an AFC ‘B’ licence holder, who served as convenor, and Zakietuolie Khrodi, KDFA technical director and an AFC ‘C’ licence holder, who served as secretary.
Coaching camps for the shortlisted players are expected to commence soon.
