Mokokchung District Football Association names squad for Dr. T Ao Trophy

• MOKOKCHUNG — The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) has revealed the squad selected to represent Mokokchung district in the prestigious Dr. T Ao Trophy. The inter-district football championship is set to take place in Kohima in August.

• Following an intensive selection process and rigorous trials, the MDFA has named a 20-player squad.

Selected players to represent Mokokchung district in the Dr. T Ao Trophy in Mokokchung on Monday.

• The selected players are Sentimong, Imtisashi Ao, Temjenwapang, Sentisang, Medemmar, Alemong, Sentilong, Ayimnukshi, Limakumzuk, Merangtemjen, Jungshiwati, Meyasenba, Moachang, Temsuyanger, Tongpangnokdang, Inovi, Takotoba, Imnasunep, Tarepnungsang and A Jamity Jamir.

• The players are required to report to the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on June 11 at 3:00 pm for the start of an intensive coaching camp to prepare for the tournament.

• Imnawapang, joint secretary of coordination, media, and publicity for MDFA, expressed confidence in the team, stating that they are proud of the talent and dedication shown by the players and believe they are ready to uphold Mokokchung’s sporting heritage and compete at the highest level.

• The MDFA also extended its best wishes to the squad.
