KIPHIRE — A review meeting on the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana was convened by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kiphire at the DC’s chamber on Saturday.
The meeting deliberated on the progress and modalities for the effective implementation of the scheme in the district, with a focus on promoting renewable energy adoption and ensuring wider public participation under the rooftop solar initiative.
Officials and stakeholders present discussed strategies for awareness generation, beneficiary mobilisation, and the smooth execution of the programme across the district.
During the meeting, Phuvkiu village was selected as the “model solar village” of the Kiphire district under the initiative. The selection was made in recognition of the village’s potential and readiness to promote sustainable and clean energy practices through the adoption of solar power infrastructure.
