  • Kiphire DC inducted as Bharat Scouts and Guides president


  • Bharat Scouts and Guides present a song during the induction ceremony of the new district president at the DC conference hall in Kiphire on Wednesday.


  • DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, was inducted as the fifth district president of Kiphire District Bharat Scouts and Guides (KDBSG) on Wednesday at the DC conference hall in Kiphire.

  • According to an update, EAC Kiphire Nitile Tep was also inducted as district commissioner (G).

  • The newly inducted president stated on the occasion that a student’s career depends on their foundation and urged youths to cultivate good character from now on.

  • Stressing the importance of involvement in Bharat Scouts and Guides, he said such extra-curricular activities build character and shape the future.

  • According to him, participating in the Scouting movement is a chance to showcase talents. Furthermore, the president pledged his full support to the district’s Scouting movement.

  • ADEO Kiphire Lirila Sangtam mentioned the importance of Bharat Scouts and Guides and urged the principals and heads of schools in Kiphire to send their teachers for training in the Scouting movement. She also praised the KDBSG officials for taking the initiative to nurture the movement.

  • ADO (S) Kiphire Tsipise Antony spoke on the significance of the Scouting and Guiding movement. He also emphasised the importance of involvement in the movement.

  • Vice president of KDBSG, Abraham Thrioli, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the status of the Scouting and Guiding movement in the district.

  • The induction ceremony was administered by Inato Sema, DOC (S), and Imtinaro Longkumer, DOC (G), for president and district commissioner (G), respectively.
