K Yamao Konyak to lead Konyak Union

  • DIMAPUR — The Konyak Union announced the newly appointed team of office bearers for the 2025–2028 tenure, led by K Yamao Konyak as president.

  • An update stated that the other office bearers include Y Chingwang Konyak and Loungai Wangnao as vice presidents, Wango Konyak as general secretary, Methpeih Konyak and Kaiba Konyak as secretaries, Chingom Konyak as finance secretary, Nyawang Konyak as treasurer, Y Wangchung Konyak as social and cultural secretary, Longkhong Konyak and P Nganwang Konyak as computer assistants, and Kaibo Konyak as press and media secretary.

  • The formal induction of the new team took place during the union’s 45th general session held on June 6 at the Konyak Union Conference Hall, Mon. This was followed by the official handing over and taking over ceremony on Monday at the Konyak Union Office, Mon headquarters.

  • The newly inducted team appealed to all Konyak civil societies, the Mon district administration, the state government, and the general public to extend their continued cooperation and support for the smooth functioning of the Union.

  • Stating that collective involvement is vital in achieving progress and lasting peace for the Konyak community and the Nagas as a whole, it said the union remains committed to fostering unity, harmony, and inclusive development across the region.
