Multiple civil society organisations in Dimapur have condemned the sexual assault of a minor girl and demanded swift justice.

DIMAPUR — Multiple organisations have vehemently condemned the alleged sexual assault and physical abuse of a minor girl in Dimapur and demanded swift justice against the accused.
NPF Central Women Wing: The NPF Central Women Wing, highlighting that sexual abuse is a grave violation of child rights, demanded strict action against the accused under relevant sections of the BNS 2023 and POCSO Act 2012. It called for a fast-track trial to ensure speedy justice and exemplary punishment.
Additionally, it demanded protection and medical or psychological support for the victim, as well as strict actions against any attempt to threaten or manipulate the victim and her family.
WCMA and WCYO: The Western Chakhesang Mothers' Association (WCMA) and the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) also issued separate statements condemning the abuse. WCMA stated that the crime reflects cruelty, abuse of power, and complete disregard for safety and consent.
WCYO stated that the abuse of a child inflicts profound physical, emotional, and psychological trauma. The youth organisation expressed unwavering solidarity with the victim's family and requested law enforcement agencies to deliver justice at the earliest.

Civil society bodies condemn alleged sexual assault of minor in Dimapur
RMAD and NWHD: The Rengma Mother's Association (RMAD) and the Naga women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) condemned the act and demanded strict punishment to ensure such crimes are not repeated, stating that the perpetrators must be held fully accountable and justice must be delivered to the victim without delay.
DNWO: The Diphupar Naga Women Organisation (DNWO) commended the prompt action of the Dimapur Police and urged the authorities to ensure a thorough, impartial, transparent, and time-bound investigation. DNWO stated that crimes against children strike at the very foundation of a compassionate society and must never be tolerated.
ZYOD: The Zeliang Youth Organisation Dimapur (ZYOD) stated that such acts of sexual violence have no place in a civilised society and expressed solidarity with the victim and her family. The organisation called for a swift, impartial, and transparent investigation.
Industrial Village Razhüphe: The Village Council of Industrial Village Razhüphe, Dimapur, condemned the "heinous and inhumane" incident, describing the act as barbaric, shameful, and intolerable in a civilised society. The council also expressed appreciation to the Dimapur Police for their prompt action in registering the case and arresting the accused.
