DIMAPUR — The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on IAS Induction—comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA and NF&ASA—has reiterated that the three-day pen down strike announced earlier will go ahead as scheduled from October 14.
In a circular issued on Friday, the JCC stated that the strike is to be observed by all service associations affiliated with CANSSEA and clarified that certain directives issued by non-governmental agencies “not connected with this issue” are not applicable to the ongoing agitation.

The committee expressed appreciation to the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), an affiliate of CANSSEA, for its “prompt action” in complying with the JCC’s call and said the circular issued by ANSTA was “in consonance with the purpose of this cause.”
The JCC maintained that the strike will be implemented across all affiliated service associations in pursuit of its stated objectives under the IAS induction issue.
