DIMAPUR — The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on IAS Induction—comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA and NF&ASA—has issued a set of guidelines for the three-day pen down strike across all government departments in Nagaland, scheduled to begin on October 14.
In a circular, the committee reiterated that emergency and essential services would be exempted from the purview of the strike.
It urged all associations to issue clear instructions to ensure that the general public does not suffer due to the agitation.
Government employees have been requested to maintain strict attendance at their respective workplaces during the strike period, while the JCC appealed for the protest to be observed peacefully.
The circular also outlined that essential and emergency services include sectors such as electricity, water supply, road repairs, sanitation, healthcare (doctors and nurses), and law enforcement agencies.
“Any other services which respective associations/departments may feel that it should be exempted from the purview of this strike may be worked out accordingly,” it added.
