Japfü Christian College in Kigwema hosted its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 at ZAPA Indoor Stadium.

DIMAPUR — Japfü Christian College, Kigwema, held its graduation programme for the Class of 2026 at the ZAPA Indoor Stadium on Monday.
The ceremony brought together graduating students, faculty members, college authorities, invited guests, parents, and well-wishers to celebrate the academic achievements of the graduating class, according to an update.
Addressing the gathering, Visakhonu Hibo, Principal of Japfü Christian College, reminded the graduates that the degree marked not an end but the beginning of a new chapter and encouraged them to strive for greater heights until they achieved their goals, adding that the college roll of honours would be waiting to welcome their names.
Dr. Akho Yhokha, BOM Treasurer, conveyed greetings on behalf of the Board of Management and congratulated the graduates on their achievements. He encouraged them to think outside the box, embrace opportunities, and venture confidently towards a successful future.

The commencement speech was delivered by Bodenos S Colo, Commissioner and Secretary for the Department of Art and Culture. In her address, she reflected on the college as a place where faith, education, character, and service come together. She encouraged the graduates to face a rapidly changing world with courage, humility, compassion, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Reminding the graduates that their degrees were only the beginning, she urged them to use their knowledge, skills, and values to serve society at large.
She concluded by extending her blessings to the Class of 2026 and encouraging them to live with purpose, walk in faith, and always remember their connection to the college.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of the Molhou Zhasa Award for Academic Excellence on Kedosekho of the Department of Political Science, the college topper. Degrees were subsequently conferred through the IQAC of the college upon graduates from the departments of Economics, Education, English, Political Science, History, and Sociology.
