Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland identifies 28 expired ILPs and 38 individuals without valid passes during a verification drive in Jalukie.
DIMAPUR — The Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) conducted a verification drive on Friday to identify and address the presence of illegal immigrants within the Jalukie jurisdiction.
In a press release, the union stated that during the course of the drive, the union identified 28 individuals whose Inner Line Permits (ILPs) had expired, along with 38 individuals who were found without valid ILP passes.
The matter was subsequently brought to the attention of the district administration, and appropriate action was taken in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
“The JSUN remains steadfast and committed to addressing the growing concern surrounding illegal immigration in the region. The union strongly urges the concerned authorities to remain vigilant and take proactive and effective measures to curb this menace and ensure proper implementation of the ILP system,” the release stated.
The union further appealed to all concerned citizens and stakeholders to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining law and order and safeguarding the interests of the indigenous people of the region.
