Itanagar hosts 3rd North East Aviation Summit

DIMAPUR — The North East Region Ministers’ Conference on Civil Aviation and the third North East Aviation Summit was held on September 4 at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

The conference was inaugurated by Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India, Ram Mohan Naidu, along with Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, a DIPR report stated.

An official delegation from Nagaland, led by Robert Longchari, Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, along with Myingthungo Ababe Ezung, OSD, AIR Cell, Transport Department, and Nungshilemba Walling, Deputy General Manager, NST, attended the conference.

The delegation actively engaged in discussions with senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, BCAS and AAI on the key challenges faced by the aviation sector in the region and the necessary support required to strengthen air connectivity.
