Mumbai Falcons brings the F1 Sim Racing India Open to Kohima during the Tech X Gaming Expo 2026 at NBCC Convention Hall.
DIMAPUR — The Tech X Gaming Expo 2026 has partnered with Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited to bring the F1 Sim Racing India Open to Kohima, organised by the Nagaland Esports Society. The event is scheduled to take place on August 28 and 29 at the NBCC Convention Hall in Kohima.
This was announced by the President of the Nagaland Esports Society, Moalong Longkumer, during a press conference at Zone Niathu, Chümoukedima, on Tuesday.
The programme uses Formula One-licensed simulators to allow students aged 10 and above to test their skills through timed laps, with the fastest participants progressing through various stages of competition. The initiative seeks to make motorsport more accessible by identifying talent based purely on performance.
During the press conference, the General Manager of Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited, Ishaan Bhataiya, stated that the championship provides an accessible and competitive entry point into motorsport through sim racing, adding that the participants progress through a structured national pathway comprising time trials, qualifiers, and a national final.
Furthermore, the competition carries a total prize pool of INR 2 crore, and the overall winner will receive an opportunity to participate in Mumbai Falcons’ "One in a Billion Hunt - Agla Star", backed by an INR 3 crore Driver Development Fund that aims to help promising talent progress towards professional motorsport.

At the expo, Mumbai Falcons will conduct sim racing activities and engage with participants about the wider world of motorsport. The activation will introduce young people to opportunities extending beyond driving, including race engineering, strategy, data analytics, team operations, broadcasting, and event management.
The Kohima round gives aspiring racers from Nagaland and the Northeast an opportunity to test their skills on a national platform and become part of India’s growing motorsport talent pathway.
The collaboration also places Kohima alongside other major Indian cities participating in the championship and strengthens Nagaland’s position as an emerging destination for esports, technology, and youth-led innovation.
The Nagaland Esports Society and Mumbai Falcons invited students, gamers, aspiring racers, creators, and technology enthusiasts from across the region to attend the expo and participate in the activities.
The Tech X Gaming Expo 2026 is scheduled from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on August 28 and from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on August 29.
