The IndiaSkills 2025-2026 Nagaland State Competition was conducted to identify and nurture skilled youth for participation at regional and national levels while promoting excellence in vocational skills across the state.

Referring to the upcoming national competition, he said the participants would carry the hopes of the people, the pride of their mentors, and the aspirations of many young individuals. He noted that the competition is not only about winning medals but also about maintaining standards, precision, and professionalism, adding that the ability to perform under pressure reflects character.
Highlighting the role of mentors, Longkumer said their contribution is invaluable, as every skilled competitor is shaped by dedicated teachers and institutions. He urged the participants to compete with confidence and integrity, reminding them that they belong on the national stage and should aim to return not just with medals but with experience and a stronger vision for the future.
