Nagaland unit of the Indian Red Cross Society organises first aid training for staff of 400/220kV New Kohima GIS substation in Zhadima village.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCSN) organised a first aid training on July 31 at the 400/220kV New Kohima GIS Substation in Zhadima village under Kohima district.
An update from IRCSN stated that the training was organised with an objective to equip the staff of substation with essential life-saving skills relevant to their work environment. It stated that a total of 31 participants underwent intensive training under the expertise of Kholie Dolf, a certified master trainer.

The session covered critical areas such as first aid for electrocution and electrical burn injuries, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillator (AED), first aid for snake bites, choking relief techniques and wound management.
It further stated that the initiative was part of the Society’s ongoing commitment to promote workplace safety and emergency preparedness, particularly in high-risk sectors such as power and energy.
