Five Mokokchung organisations to hold a rally on November 16 over staffing issues at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital
DIMAPUR — Five organisations in Mokokchung have decided to escalate their agitation over staffing at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) after a public rally scheduled for November 16.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the All Ward Union Mokokchung Town (AWUMT), Watsu Mungdang, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Ao Lanur Telungjem (ALT) and Ao Senden held at the Aor Kilem on Tuesday.
According to a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, the organisations have set November 13 as the deadline for completing all detachment and joining reports, following the 14-day period given through a Health and Family Welfare Department notification dated October 30.
The organisations resolved to allow a three-day relaxation from November 5 to the 7th in the ongoing agitation involving the closure of the CMO’s office on humanitarian grounds to facilitate child immunisation and medication.
They stated that the agitation would be escalated after the public rally in Mokokchung town on November 16.
