A mega identification and assessment camp for children with special needs was held in Mon under the National Education Policy 2020.

DIMAPUR — In commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP), Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagar (ABSS), Mon unit, in collaboration with Rashtriya Bai Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) District Hospital Mon, organised a mega identification and assessment-cum-certification camp for children with special needs (CWSN) under Samagra Shiksha, Mon, on Thursday at Council Hall, Mon town.
According to a DIPR report, Senior SDEO and District Project Coordinator DEMO, Mon, Rose Ngullie, gave a brief note on the objectives and inspiration of the NEP 2020.
She thanked the parents for their positive gesture in bringing their children and also encouraged them to ensure equitable education and access to the quality education provided by the government.

District Hospital Mon receives blood storage equipment
State Inclusive Education Coordinator Sesulu spoke on CWSN requiring individualised support and accommodations to access education due to various physical, mental, emotional, and learning disabilities.
She said that inclusive learning for CWSN aims to provide all children the right to quality education and learning opportunities together with their peers. She also reminded the medical assessment team to issue certificates to the right persons only. She requested the parents to provide proper documents.
Thereafter, the medical assessment camp was held with the following resource persons: MD, PMR Dr. Ngamba Sangme; MD paediatrician Dr. Chimang Paul; MO RBSK Dr. Tsemtseh Konyak; MO RBSK Dr. Lily Konyak; Chaoya, GNM, RBSK and ophthalmic assistant, District Hospital Mon.
