The governor's message noted that the world is changing rapidly and artificial intelligence is transforming work, business, governance, and communication, encouraging students to regard their degrees as foundations for lifelong learning.
The message highlighted that the state possesses talented young people, rich cultural traditions, natural resources, and enormous potential, while facing challenges relating to employment, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and sustainable development. It encouraged graduates to see these challenges as opportunities for innovation and enterprise.
Asserting that government service is one avenue of contribution, the governor noted that other paths, such as entrepreneurship, technology, research, agriculture, tourism, creative industries, social enterprise, and the digital economy, offer significant opportunities.
The message urged graduates to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become job creators rather than job seekers.
