The Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, has warned students against unauthorised scholarship agents.
DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, has informed students, parents, and educational institutions that the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Common Scholarship Portal (CSP) are the only official government platforms for scholarship applications and are accessible to all eligible applicants.
In a notification, the directorate clarified that no individual, centre, organisation, or society has been authorised to exclusively collect or process scholarship applications on behalf of students.
It stated that scholarship applications are submitted online by students and are verified by the Institution Nodal Officer (INO) of the respective institution before undergoing further verification at the district and state levels.

The directorate further emphasised that the INO must be a regular employee of the institution. Any institution appointing or engaging an outsider as its INO will be held solely responsible and liable for any consequences arising from such an arrangement.
Applicants have also been advised to upload only genuine documents issued by the competent authorities. Submission of false or fabricated documents will lead to rejection of the application and may attract legal action.
The directorate urged students, parents, and institutions to remain vigilant against misinformation and fraudulent claims, reiterating that the scholarship application process must remain free, fair, and transparent.
