Heavy vehicles barred from NH-329A bridge near Razaphe Village after officials find structure unsafe.

DIMAPUR — The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dhansiripar has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles on a minor bridge at Chainage 65.625 km near Razaphe Village along NH-329A due to safety concerns.
According to an order issued on March 3, the bridge was found to be in an unsafe and vulnerable condition following a report and subsequent physical verification. Authorities observed that the structural components of the bridge have significantly weakened, making it unsafe for heavy vehicular movement, a DIPR report stated.

In view of the potential risk to public safety and the possibility of further damage to the structure, only light motor vehicles will be allowed to ply over the bridge until necessary restoration works are carried out by the concerned department.
The order warned that any violation will invite penalties as per the law.
The directive was issued by Vejoyo Swuro, SDO (C), Dhansiripar, while the communication was released by Shreyansee Jain, SDO (Civil) (HQ) in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima.
Authorities have urged the public and transporters to comply with the order in the interest of public safety until repair works are completed.
