L Longtsaba Sangtam, one of the affected residents, informed that the district administration has offered INR 3,000 as aid.
However, the affected families declined the assistance, citing that similar incidents occur every 3-4 years. Instead, they're seeking a permanent solution from the state government, specifically the construction of a retaining wall from the foundation to prevent future damage and losses.
