Headhunters FC and Lüshe FC advanced to the semi-finals of the 9th Captain Kengurüse Memorial Football Tournament in Kohima.

KOHIMA — Headhunters FC and Lüshe FC booked their spots in the semi-finals after defeating their respective opponents in the quarter-final matches of the 9th Captain Kengurüse MVC Memorial Football Tournament at IG Stadium, Kohima, on Friday.
In the first match of the day, Headhunters FC produced a dominant display to overpower Satakha FC 6–0.
Manton opened the scoring in the 34th minute and doubled his tally seven minutes later. Laiwang added another in first-half stoppage time (40+1’) to send Headhunters into the break with a commanding 3–0 lead.

Arap extended the lead in the 50th minute, followed by Laiwang’s second goal in the 60th minute. Lamginmang sealed the emphatic win in the 69th minute, capping off a complete team performance.

With the convincing 6–0 victory, Headhunters FC stormed into the semi-finals, where they will face Langsa Hills FC (Mon).
In the second match, Lüshe FC defeated PDFA Junior FC 5–2.
PDFA Junior FC drew first blood through Nrakhak in the 20th minute, but Shovelo equalised in the 29th and doubled his tally ten minutes later. Irabeubo also found the net in the 36th minute.
Poulin reduced the deficit for PDFA Junior FC in first-half stoppage time (40+2’), leaving the score 3–2 at the break.
In the second half, Weliso struck in the 49th minute and Eneibe sealed the win with a 61st-minute goal, as PDFA Junior FC failed to mount a comeback.
